I have been in and out of the office this morning to ‘dash’ around the golden mile track with lots of little Santas; what fun we had! What a festive week this has been with the KS1 nativity taking centre stage and various other Christmas activities. I especially enjoyed seeing the light up Christmas cards made by the year 5/6 children in DT – their designs were very creative and carefully executed.
Care is at the heartbeat of our school and it is important to us that even in the busyness of the season we show care in our community. This week our year 3 children visited Melbourn Springs Care Home to sing carols and to give Christmas cards to the residents. Yesterday Foundation Stage put on an extra performance of their nativity for those residents who were mobile enough to travel to our school and then our year 4 children have made Christmas baubles to go on display in All Saints Church. Well done Team Melbourn; I am so proud of the caring heart we extend to others.
