There was much excitement in the playground today with the Year 6 cake stall. I am so proud of the girls who masterminded, planned and executed the event – with a little help from Mrs Whitton and Mrs Harvey.
A few weeks ago, I was approached by some of the house captains to ask if they could run a cake stall to raise funds for the school. We agreed that if they were willing to source the cakes, put together the advertising and messages home and run the stall on the day then we could give it a go. Fast forward to today and the girls have successfully delivered our first cake stall since before the pandemic, raising an incredible £289.05 for the school! A huge shout out to Bailey, Chloe, Edie, Elora, Ellora, Etta, Hannah and Orla for all their hard-work. Great job girls – you have made my heart glow. ?
Huge thanks also to the PTFA for the incredibly fun quiz night last Friday. The school hall was full and buzzing with memories of the 90s and 00s. We are still waiting to hear how much the evening raised. We are currently fundraising for a new sound and microphone system for the hall and new iPads; every pound raised really does make a difference to us, so thank you to everyone who supported the event.
Have a lovely half-term break; hopefully we won’t return to snow as we did in January!
