I am sorry that I have not seen many of you on the playground this week. I have been busy in the mornings serving bacon butties and toast to year 6 children to make sure they didn’t have rumbling tummies during their SAT tests! We are really proud of the way all of the children approached the tests – with positivity and determination. They were rewarded today with hot chocolate at The Hub! A huge thanks to all the staff for preparing them academically and emotionally throughout their time in school.
Emotions have run high today as we have said goodbye to the wonderful Mrs Mulvey who after 16 years at the school is moving onto higher stations. Natalie has been a key member of our team, directing the administration and organisation of the school and doing her best to keep me and the SLT on track! She is a very special and highly skilled person and the staff team are all going to miss her hugely. I am sure you will join me in wishing her every success and happiness in her new role.
At the same time, I am excited to be able to announce that we have appointed a replacement for Natalie’s role. The lovely Anna Harvey, mum to Katie in Year 2, will be joining us after half-term. Welcome to the team Anna!
I will not see you next week either as I will be busy climbing towers and throwing myself of high platforms on residential with the Year 6 children – wish me luck!
