What an incredible week we have had in school watching our year 5/6 children in their performance of Aladdin. The children were utterly brilliant! The year 6 children led the way with the acting parts and the year 5 children supported as the chorus. A number of the children had many lines to learn and delivered them with clarity and character. Some of the year 6 children also made the props and were the stage crew.
The singing though was the highlight! Over the past few years, we have been developing music and singing across the school with the help of Mrs MacLeod-Jones, and the impact was evident for all to enjoy. The children’s rendition of ‘A Whole New World’ literally brought tears to my eyes with how beautifully the children sang it. A huge shout out to the super stars who sang the duets: Edward, Ellie, Elora and Hannah!
A huge thank you to all the staff who put the show together and supported the children in achieving success.
Seeing so many children shine in their parts made my heart glow! For some children simply saying a line was a huge achievement and for others taking a leading role allowed them to show their acting prowess. However you contributed, children, I was incredibly proud of each and every one of you! Well done Team 5/6 😊
