I am always proud of the children of MPS. They are a joy to work with and the reason I come to work every day. This week, to support their learning in RE and in line with our school vision, ‘to create a community were diversity is valued’, year 5/6 children visited the Cambridge Mosque. The teachers were impressed with the respect the children showed and their thoughtful questions about the building and Muslim worship.
Yesterday, however on their return from the mosque, Kite and Kestrel class faced a significant train delay and had to wait for an hour at Cambridge station! Despite the boredom and delayed lunch (we did buy them snacks!) they behaved brilliantly. Then on their walk back to school from Meldreth station the heavens opened and they were all absolutely drenched!
The children showed resilience and maturity throughout and especially as they coped with being very cold and soggy! I have been told by so many adults how brilliant they were. I am super proud of you children – well done!
