How wonderful that we could enjoy sunshine and Mediterranean temperatures during the half-term holiday; the weather doesn’t always fall positively in the school holiday weeks. I hope you all enjoyed some special time with your children. I spent some 1:1 time with both of my ‘children’ which was a real treat. I must admit to being rather concerned last week about whether it was going to be too hot for Sports Day – what a difference a week makes!
Yesterday evening, we welcomed our September 2026 Reception parents to school. As part of my welcome talk I always explain that children are at the centre of all decisions we make here at MPS. I also share that I am confident that during the 7 years of a child’s journey at MPS I’m sure that not all parents will always agree with all decisions – the irony the day after cancelling Sports Day was not wasted on me! Thank you all for your understanding and support this week; I’m sure it was frustrating for some of you. It was for us in school too but we appreciated your kind words and messages – thank you.
