Information
We are a nut-free school.
We encourage a healthy lifestyle within our school and we ensure that the structure and content of our menus promotes the wellbeing of everyone.
We adhere to the principle of ‘getting the balance right’ which means having enough fruit, salad and vegetables, proteins, fibre and avoiding too much fat, sugar and salt. We want our children to eat well in the dinner hall and perform well in the classroom.
School meals are cooked on site every day by HCL; more information can be found on the link below:

Packed Lunches
You are welcome to provide your child with a packed lunch instead of a school meal. We ask that is a healthy, balanced packed lunch and for the health and safety of all children should not contain nuts. In addition sweets, chocolate and fizzy drinks are not permitted.
Snacks and Drinks
It is important that children do not become dehydrated during the day, so they are encouraged to drink water (not squash). Please send your child in to school each day with a named water bottle.
The government provides all Foundation and Year 1 & 2 children with a fruit snack which is given out mid morning. When your child reaches Key Stage 2, if you feel that they need a mid-morning snack, please give them a piece of fresh fruit or healthy snack. We do not allow chocolate, chocolate covered biscuits, crisps, sugary ‘fruit’ treats in packets (e.g. Winders) or fizzy drinks.
Parents and carers are asked not to send in cakes or sweets to celebrate birthdays.
